I've been discussing whether D'avin can be held as the responsible party in John's Hullenisation and even though I stil think the show did portray it that way, I get stressed watching everyone blame D'av and D'av blame himself.
D'AVIN: You're not the only one who loves him, and you weren't here, so you don't get to judge.
JOHNNY: If you were my real friend you never would have left and this never would have happened.
Hullen!Johnny talking that sounds-truthy bullshit again. And Dutch agrees with him because the ship is full of idiot martyrs.
HJK playing a third doppelganger is amazing.
The Lady is different/older than the Hullen!? Bananas how the show keeps unpeeling the layers and revealing a Bigger Bad.
D'avin and Dutch trying to find their teamwork groove back in the midst of all this chaos was hot. And with Zeph's brain stabbing technique, Dutch is faced with the same terrible choice she just yelled at D'avin for screwing up. And then they make it together.
All-around kickass ep for Zeph.
PREE: Sweetheart. You stabbed one of my dearest friends in my bar. As soon as that baby is out of your entitled belly, I'll be happy to return the favour. Until then, ice chip?
King of telling it like it is! lol. I am still mad about that too, no matter how hilariously grumpy Delle is. Bring! Back! Pawter!
I know the whole thing is a creepy alien queen's world domination plan, but heart eyes on D'avin hushing babies.
D'avin's "You weren't there" line was one of my favorite moments in this ep, because it's yet another point on that very specific way the show has been presenting their dynamic from the very beginning of the show - the one where he gets to tell her "You came out clean" (all the way back in S1) and then (in later seasons) also gets to be the one to tell her when she screws that up, as in here, and it's just *flail*.
I'm a little disappointed that John's visions of Dutch were apparently hallucinations and not Actually Dutch, because I really liked the theory that she managed to tear herself out of the Green to get to Johnny and D'avin when they really freakin' needed her, but oh well.
I am always glad when shows are doing redemption of the Big Bad that they remind us when they murdered someone. Dell Seyah wasn't even Hullen when she did it; she was just a murderer!
One of the hilarious things about Delle Seyah's Hullen period was that she acted exactly the same as before. Hullenization removes (most) emotions? Well this one didn't have them before either...
Yeah, she has been a terrible person from day one. Which is part of the reason it's was so interesting to remind us that she is in love, I am curious where that goes.

I think that's still a workable implication? That Johnny was hallucinating but the hallucination was a manifestation of their close connection, which brought her there. The green works in fuzzy story-driven ways, but she could have popped out of a completely different pool, after all.
