Date: 2017-09-02 03:08 pm (UTC)I don't care what you do with your fossilized heart! lol Delle so wishes Dutch was jealous. I was hoping this season would end with an awkward Delle/Awesome Force team up, and it actually did! Yays. If the next season opens with a Jaqobis baby delivery I will die of lols.
So much of the Toronto woods in this episode. Don Valley? Probably. Sadly no robot goats. Didn't we have a whole season about how hard it is to acquire land in the Quad? At least Gared appreciates it. He married up! Bless his heart. This might be the first time I've bought Pree as an ex warlord.
The "bitch" count is through the roof in this episode, sigh.
Were you going to tell me that you and Dutch are back on the sex train? Lol and yay. Lucy told him because she loves to gossip, solid fic premise right there.
When Turin said Fancy was their last hope I got really worried. He wasn't on my death watch list! But he was *Turin's* last chance, it turns out. A lot of verbal foreshadowing in this episode, like that line about heroes and villains. It's nice Turin got his second chance. Third? Whatever.
D'avin asking how Delle feels about baby names with apostrophes and shattering the fourth wall again. I like D'avin's space apostrophe. I like that Khlyen named her after Aneela's mother. I was wondering where her name came from, since it seems like there might not have actually been any Yardeens?
Let's go give her hell! That is a great revelation about the tool Dutch thought was meant for her to kill Aneela with. I knew Dutch must be interpreting it incorrectly, we had zero evidence Khlyen really wanted Aneela dead. But I couldn't figure out how.

Date: 2017-09-02 03:30 pm (UTC)D'avin still remains my favourite broken soldier-boy, and I love Fancy so much. And I almost liked Turin by the end.
Not sure how I feel about Zeph and Pip, but they were kinda cute, I guess.
BUT, the handfasting of Pree and Gared!! ♥♥♥ Those two are so damn perfect together.

Date: 2017-09-02 03:58 pm (UTC)Jaqobi fraternal banter continues to do it for me, whether aimed at each other or aimed at Delle Seyeah in each other's presence.
"I will poke you in the lung hole."
"What do you think of apostrophes?"
And Delle Seyah was no slouch either.
"I need you to kill me again."
I want a ranch with robot goats so bad.
Even though this season is very dude-filled, what with all the mostly male warriors, I do love watching the protagonist and the two principal antagonists – all women of color – interact with each other. And Zeph is so adorable with Dutch.
Pree and Gared are so freaking adorable together, and yet there's also the realism of those sweet moments of culture shock; Pree's reaction to Gared's reaction to Leith was almost better than Gared's reaction itself.
I was surprised how much less crazy Aneela got as soon as she got her memories back.
Fancy and Turin have the terrific relationship of mutual affectionate loathing ("that new asshole smell") so I am really glad that they not only both survived but both helped each other out. And I'm looking forward to Jaqobis/Delle Seyah interaction next season; I like that chemistry.

Date: 2017-09-04 02:57 am (UTC)I am very fascinated that so much of Aneela's mental state was down to the missing memories! I kind of hope she's still a little bit off cause it would be interesting trying to see her work together with Dutch, but she definitely seemed less murderous at least. I wonder what Kendry will think when she gets a less homicidal girlfriend back.

Date: 2017-09-03 12:47 am (UTC)I wonder if Dutch was expecting Aneela to try something, because she's been taking herself out of the leadership role for the last few episodes now: the war would have been fine without her.
I loved the Delle Seyah and Jaqobis brothers team-up and I look forward to seeing them getting cabin fever next season!

"I will poke you in the lung hole."
LOL forever. So many great quips in this episode.
The idea to put Aneela's missing memories back in her brain was brilliant. It completely changed the game.
Also brilliant: Johnny's bluff that killing Dutch would also kill A'Neela, instead of the other way around. I loved that Delle Seyah agreed to team up with the Jacobis because of it. Their scenes were hilarious.
So glad Fancy survived, and that he rescued Turin. Their love is so hate-filled.
The Pree/Gared wedding was adorable. Did anyone else notice that the table feast was shot as a deliberate homage to Da Vinci's The Last Supper? They even had Johnny pointing his finger to the sky like the apostle Thomas.
I was thinking the forest scenes might have been shot in Humber Valley, but Don Valley works too.
Yay for renewal! I'm dying to find out who "The Lady" is next season.

Date: 2017-09-04 03:16 am (UTC)I love that restoring the memories changed the game, and I extra love that that wasn't really why Dutch did it.
Loved all of Johnny's bluffing. It was a fun twist that he was willing to sacrifice Dutch or at least play chicken with the idea, when Delle Seyah wasn't even a little bit willing to sacrifice Aneela.

That is a cool detail, I totally missed it. I guess it was their last supper.
Hee, my main reason for guessing the Don is that a lot of Toronto tv shows shoot near there at the bottom of Riverdale, and basically don't leave the East End if they don't have to. It could totally be somewhere else though.

Oooh, great point! Dutch was willing and ready to die to defend everyone else, and Johnny and D'avin both knew it. Aneela wasn't ready to make that sacrifice, and Delle Seyah is too selfish to give her up.

Well, why would you? The east side has beaches. The west only has Queen Street and traffic. ;)
